  • DIRECTOR: Jim Wynorski
  • ACTORS: Kelli Maroney, Tony O'Dell, Russell Todd, Karrie Emerson, Barbara Crampton, Nick Segal, Suzee Slater, John Terlesky, Paul Bartel, Mary Woronov, Dick Miller
  • PLOT: A trio of mall security robots goes berserk, slaughtering a group of horny teenagers, more or less in reverse order of how annoying and attractive they are.
  • EVALUATION: You pretty much know what you're getting into with a movie called Chopping Mall, but once in a while an unexpected cinematic ambition surfaces, such as the extended makeout scene tracking shot or the store names that reference famous filmmakers.
  • WRITING: Honestly, not as quotable as I would have liked.
  • FILMING: It's definitely an 80s mall, and the robot effects are a little better than I would have predicted.
  • BEST PART: The annoying girl's head exploding.
  • TRIVIA: It's the same mall that was used in Commando.
  • STINGER: A gluttonous diner patron requests more butter.
