  • DIRECTOR: Matt Shakman
  • ACTORS: Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Joseph Quinn, Julia Garner, Sarah Niles, Mark Gatiss, Natasha Lyonne, Paul Walter Hauser, Ralph Ineson
  • PLOT: The Fantastic Four (Pascal, Kirby, Moss-Bachrach, Quinn) of an alternate universe combat Galactus (Ineson) with a last-minute assist from his herald (Julia Garner).
  • EVALUATION: A perfectly adequate film that makes a lot of weird choices but at least manages not to ruin the most popular Fantastic Four plot.
  • WRITING: Surprisingly disinterested in the traditional characterizations of The Thing and Human Torch and glib in a way that doesn't always work.
  • FILMING: The set designs are truly excellent, as they were in WandaVision.
  • BEST PART: Surprisingly, either Mole Man or the fact that they actually made silver surfing look cool.
  • TRIVIA: This is Earth-828 because Jack Kirby's birthday was on August 28th.
  • STINGER: Jack and Stan stand-ins have a brief cameo in the Timely Comics office.
