Based on the manga by Masamune Shirow and full of techno-babble and the occasional burst of freshman philosophy.
- FILMING:
Outstanding animation and art, especially when it comes to the details of futuristic Japan and the fight scenes, although maybe not every woman in the movie needs to take their shirt off?
- BEST PART:
The one-on-one final battle with the tank is certainly impressive.
- TRIVIA:
Richard Cansino, more familiar to me from voicework in Rurouni Kenshin, is Rita Hayworth's nephew.
- STINGER:
Batou telling Kusanagi to stop with the angst.
