  • EVALUATION: This film debut of Martin LaSalle is an outstanding and captivating portrayal of a lonely man who steals because he needs to, in more ways than one.
  • WRITING: Minimalist and effective, although the time jump near the end is a bit awkward.
  • FILMING: Incredibly detail-oriented when it comes to pickpocketing.
  • BEST PART: The trip through the train, where things are stolen left and right.
  • TRIVIA: Real-life pickpocket and magician Henry Kassagi served as a technical advisor and acted as one of the pickpockets.
  • STINGER: The handcuffs come out.
