- It was a busy year, so here's the one-sentence review: A (thankfully?) unrecognizable Ridley Scott remakes himself as a modern Jules Verne by stranding Matt Damon on Mars, but the science of growing potatoes from poop is somehow more palatable than the film's implausible final rescue (enabled by a scientist hooking his laptop directly into a supercomputer!).
