  • ACTORS: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Michael Biehn, Linda Hamilton, Paul Winfield, Lance Henriksen, Bess Motta, Rick Rossovich, Earl Boen
  • PLOT: A cyborg (Schwarzenegger) is sent back in time to assassinate the future mother (Hamilton) of the human resistance.
  • EVALUATION: One of the best and most influential sci-fi action films of all time and the perfect vehicle for an actor who looks better than he speaks.
  • WRITING: Better than you would expect, particularly when Reese (Biehn) demonstrates just how traumatized future humans really are.
  • FILMING: Absolutely amazing visual effects, both in the past and future.
  • BEST PART: Holding the reveal that the terminator is a cyborg until nearly halfway through the film.
  • TRIVIA: At one point, the producers wanted O.J. Simpson as the Terminator.
  • STINGER: The Terminator runs over a toy truck.
