- PLOT:
A young priest (O'Connor) under suspicion of several murders, notably including that of a fiery monsignor (Brolin), is aided by the famous Benoit Blanc (Craig).
- EVALUATION:
Even the least of the Benoit Blanc mysteries proves to be plenty entertaining with a few outstanding performances and the occasional big laugh.
- WRITING:
Typical potboiler fare with the interwoven satire that is becoming the hallmark of these movies
- FILMING:
Probably a little less visually remarkable than the previous two installments, but the same scenes viewed from multiple angles continue to be fun
- BEST PART:
When Blanc first shows up, as if in answer to a prayer
- TRIVIA:
They had to use a prosthetic corpse because Josh Brolin was too fit for a monsignor
- STINGER:
Blanc plays the organ loudly
